Dr Amrita
Dr. Amrita Majumdar joined the team of Kent Station Family Dentistry in June 2023. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS) in 2008 and masters degree in Dentistry (MDS) , specializing in Endodontics (Root Canals), in 2013. She honed her dental skills in India both as a lecturer and clinician in a dental school where she taught predoctoral dental students and managed the out-patient dental clinic. While practicing dentistry, Dr. Amrita volunteered numerous hours to treat and spread awareness among low-income groups, rural school kids, prison inmates and the underserved population of Northern India.
Dr. Amrita moved to the United States in 2015 and received her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, Boston in 2019. After moving to the United States, she continued giving back to the community by volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, Mission of Mercy, Elder Brown Bag program and the American Red Cross Society. She is an active volunteer for Remote Area Medical (RAM).
Her unique blend of experiences enables her to relate to patients from all walks of life. As a child, she often accompanied her mother to her dental appointments, and would be horrified to see her agonize over dental pain. This experience changed her life and reflects today as empathy towards patients who experience fear and anxiety over dental visits.
While she takes great pride in delivering high-quality treatments and beautiful smiles, it is the meaningful personal interactions with her patients that gives her immense satisfaction. Dr. Amrita considers patient education to be paramount and would love to partner with you to find long-term solutions for your dental concerns.
Moving to the Pacific Northwest is inspired by her love for the outdoors. Outside the dental office, you could find her exploring new places with her family, hiking, kayaking, and enjoying different types of cuisine.
