Yelena
Registered Dental Hygienist
In the realm of career choices, Yelena’s path took an unexpected turn. Initially pursuing a nursing career, she found herself drawn to dentistry in a serendipitous manner. While working in retail and concurrently taking pre-nursing classes, Yelena received an intriguing proposition from her manager. The manager, who was a patient at a dental office, suggested that Yelena consider a sterile tech position at the same practice.
Immersed in the dental environment, Yelena experienced a burgeoning passion for dental hygiene. This newfound interest prompted a swift change in her career trajectory. Now with seven years of experience as an RDH, Yelena particularly values the strong relationships she builds with her patients and expresses that this interaction is the most rewarding part of her day. Demonstrating a commitment to professional growth, Yelena diligently participates in numerous continuing education courses each year. With her commitment to excellence, she strives to provide dental care that meets the unique needs of her patients. Her unwavering dedication ensures a gentle yet thorough dental experience for all.

Boni
Registered Dental Hygienist
My name is Boni, and I am a dental hygienist here at Kent Station Family Dentistry. I have a long history in the dental field starting in high school working after school for my family dentist, helping with front desk duties. After some college, I got a job in the dental field working as a dental assistant. I loved the dental environment and really enjoyed learning about dental health and working with people. After about 5 years as an assistant, I went back to school to study dental hygiene and graduated from Shoreline Community College in Dental Hygiene. I came back to the same practice I was assisting in before and worked for 26 years as a dental hygienist with Dr. Richard Hayashi.
My favorite part of dental hygiene is getting to meet patients and learn their stories. I believe all patients should be treated with compassion, professionalism, and mutual respect. Educating patients on how their oral hygiene plays into their overall health and what they can to do prevent disease and maintain a beautiful smile brings me joy. I truly love my patients!
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four young adult children (3 daughters and 1 son), and supporting them in whatever sports or activities they are involved in. I also enjoy paper-crafting in my stamp studio and volunteering my time at church.
A fun fact about me-I have been baking since I was 8 years old and enjoy spending time in the kitchen baking with my family and making treats for others!
